Three of these bugs can be zoomed up. Can you find them? Each ladybird in this picture is uniquely different from every other ladybird. This is something that would have been very time consuming to paint in Royce's purist airbrush days. He would have been faced with the boredom of painting a similar thing over and over, and there would be a high chance of losing interest before the painting was finished. But now with the help of the computer, a design like this can be completed in much less time. The template bodies for these ladybugs were airbrushed without high-lighting, shadows or spots. Then the color changes, spots, and shadows were 'painted' on the computer. The design was then composed by moving all the bugs into position.
